Changes Coming for The Summer

At The Cat Cafe, we listen to the feedback we get from customers. We’ve noticed that a lot of people say it gets crowded during our peak hours, even when we limit the number of people in the playpen to 14. And a lot of people tell us they wish we had longer hours. Also, we hear from a lot of you that our reservation system isn’t user friendly.

We’re happy to let you know that we’re going to address those concerns. Starting June 1, we’ll limit the number of people who can enter the cat playpen at any time to 12. And The Cat Cafe will remain open until 4 PM. We’re also going to change our reservations system to one that is easier to use.

In order to make these changes, we’re going to have to alter our pricing. Effective June 1, the cost to enter the cat playpen will be $8. Reservations will continue to be made online and will cost $12. This will allow us to have fewer people in the cat playpen, extend the hours that The Cat Cafe is open and meet our financial obligations.

For those of you who visit The Cat Cafe regularly, we’re holding the price of memberships the same. That means monthly memberships will be $25, and annual memberships will cost $200. These memberships get you an unlimited number of admissions during the time they’re valid. So if you visit us frequently to check out the cats, a membership is going to be your most economical option.

We hope to see more regular visitors purchase memberships. It’s a great way for you to make your visits to The Cat Cafe more economical.

And when you visit us, whether you’ve purchased a membership or not, you’ll get to see two cats that have been with us before. We had four cats who came from a hoarding situation in Lakeside. Out of an abundance of caution, The Rescue House pulled them when one of the cats from that hoarding situation developed a medical issue. All four of the cats we had in receive their medical clearance. And two of the cats found good homes.

It’s only fitting that since we sent two blind cats home from The Cat Cafe, we get another one in. Nicki, along with her seeing eye cat sister Ricochet, are back in our clowder.

Come on in and see Nicki and Ricochet, as well as the other nine cats in our clowder!
