The Cat Cafe Sends Seven Cats Home in August 2021

It was a busy month in August, with lots of visitors and a lot of people interested in potentially taking cats home. We ended up sending seven cats to good homes from The Cat Cafe. We’ll miss Trip, Rosie, Rocco, Cleo, Juneau, Angelica and Lilo. But we’re glad they wound up finding good homes. And visitors were generous as well, contributing $312 to help The Rescue House continue its mission of saving cats.

As we send cats to good homes, we bring new ones in. And we’ll introduce you to the latest members of the clowder at The Cat Cafe.

Meet Cindy Lou at The Cat Cafe

Cindy Lou

First up is Cindy Lou. This two year old gray tabby was in horrible shape when The Rescue House took her in. She had terrible ulcers on her upper lip, which required surgery to correct. That gave her a little pucker mouth like Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, which made it easy to name her.

Meet Tito at The Cat Cafe

Tito

Next up is Tito. Before joining the clowder at The Cat Cafe, Tito was being cared for in a colony of outdoor cats. He seemed too friendly to have spent his life outside, so he was scanned for a microchip. The information associated with the chip was unfortunately out of date and that meant that he couldn’t be reunited with his people. So he went to The Rescue House and then joined our clowder.

Meet Flynn at The Cat Cafe

Flynn

Also joining our clowder is a one year old ginger and white boy named Flynn. Flynn was adopted but he was too rambunctious for the people who adopted him. They returned him to The Rescue House, and Flynn joined our clowder. He’s quickly become known for demanding pets and attention from visitors and staff at The Cat Cafe.

Meet Dinah at The Cat Cafe

Dinah

The most recent arrival to our clowder is Dinah. Dinah is a little under a year old, and she’s a playful and friendly girl. She was in a crowded shelter before being pulled by The Rescue House and joining us at The Cat Cafe. Once she feels comfortable with people, she likes to flop around, give head butts and grab on to people’s hands.

We hope you’ll visit the newest members of the clowder at The Cat Cafe or come by to say hello to some old friends like our two resident bengal cats, Jacey and Leo.
