The Cat Cafe To Close Until March 31
In our last blog post, we let you know that it was our intent at The Cat Cafe to continue to operate normally while we let medical experts figure out how to best handle the COVID 19 pandemic. We thought they would be able to get it under control without requiring us to close. That was the guidance given at the time we wrote that post.
We mentioned that the County of San Diego Public Health Department said that the situation was fluid and could change rapidly. Sadly, the situation has deteriorated to where they are requiring all restaurants to cease offering dine in options.
We at The Cat Cafe will comply with their directive. Effective March 17, 2020, The Cat Cafe will be closed. We will remain closed until at least March 31, 2020. After that date, if the County of San Diego Public Health Department allows us to reopen, we will.
We will be contacting all of you who purchased reservations during this time to see if you want to rebook or get a refund.
Before we go, we want to leave you with something positive. Today, The Cat Cafe completed what is likely to be the last adoption for the next few weeks. Rhiannon went from a terrible hoarding situation to our venue thanks to The Rescue House. Her friendly personality got the attention of this family, and they took her home today. They’ll have plenty of time to spend getting to know her over the next few weeks.
All of us here at The Cat Cafe want to thank you for your support during this difficult time. We look forward to reopening and welcoming you back to enjoy purr therapy.
